Udhampur :TDD, District Police Udhampur arrested one drug peddler and recovered 07.60 grams of heroin (chitta) like contraband substance from his possession in the jurisdiction of Police Post Tikri.
Police Team of Police Post Tikri led by IC PP Tikri while performing Patrolling/checking duty at Tikri naka point intercepted one suspicious person, who on seeing police party tried to escape from the spot but was apprehended by the police party.
On frisking of said apprehended person namely Rayees Ahmed Ganie S/O Ghulam Rasool R/O Achabal, Anantnag. Police team recovered 7.60 grams of Heroin like contraband substance from the above said accused person and was arrested on spot.
In this regard, A Case FIR No. 260/2024 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered in PS Rehambal.
Further investigation of case is underway.TDD
