Jammu:DD,In a relentless pursuit against drug peddlers, Jammu Police, under the operation Sanjeevani made a significant breakthrough, a police party of Police Post Manwal while on routine Naka checking duty at Manwal.
During Naka checking one vehicle Truck bearing Registration No RJ19GF/7903 which was coming from Udhampur side towards Mansar side was signalled to stop for checking purpose but driver of said truck tried to break naka,apprehended by police and he disclosed his name as Vicky Kumar, son of Jeet Kumar, resident of Atthara Tehsil Nurpur District Kangra,HP and recovered 13 Kg of poppy straw i.e Bhukki like substance from his conscious possession.
In this regard a case FIR No 21/2025 U/S 8/15/60 of NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Jhajjar Kotli, marking a decisive step towards curbing the drug trade in the area.
Jammu Police urges all citizens to remain vigilant again the scourge of drugs and encourage them to report any suspicious activity promptly.DD
