Educational Institutions to Remain Closed in Parts of J&K on May 9–10

Srinagar, (DD): In view of the prevailing situation, authorities have ordered the closure of educational institutions in several parts of Jammu and Kashmir on Friday and Saturday, May 9 and 10.

All government and private schools in Baramulla, Kupwara, and areas surrounding Srinagar and Awantipora airports will remain shut as a precautionary measure. Schools in the Gurez sub-division will also stay closed on these dates.

Meanwhile, in the Jammu region, all schools, colleges, and other educational institutions—both government and private—will remain closed in the districts of Jammu, Samba, Kathua, Rajouri, and Poonch on May 9.

Officials have urged students and parents to stay in touch with local administration for further updates.(DD)
