Eight Pakistani Missiles Intercepted Over Jammu: Indian Air Defence Foils Major Strike

Syed Amjad Shah

Jammu, ( DD): In a grave provocation across the International Border, the Pakistan Army launched eight missiles aimed at multiple locations in Jammu on Wednesday evening. Thanks to the swift response of the Indian Air Defence system, all incoming missiles were successfully intercepted and neutralised mid-air, averting a potential catastrophe.

Panic swept through the peripheral areas of Jammu as loud explosions were heard, with residents reporting visuals of flying objects streaking across the skies.

According to official sources who spoke to Diplomat Digital, the missiles were directed towards Satwari, Samba, RS Pura, and Arnia. “All eight missiles were tracked and destroyed before they could cause damage,” a senior defence official confirmed.

“There was complete blackout across the Jammu plains and in parts of Kishtwar district soon after the attack,” a local resident reported.

Eyewitnesses likened the barrage to Hamas-style missile strikes on Israel. “What we saw in the sky reminded us of the recent scenes from Gaza. It was terrifying,” said a resident from the border belt.

Villagers in Akhnoor and surrounding areas began evacuating shortly after the attack. While women and children have moved to safer locations, many men have stayed behind to support the armed forces.

“We’re ready to stand shoulder to shoulder with our soldiers,” said another local from RS Pura. “This is our land — we will not abandon it.”

The situation remains tense but under control, with additional security forces deployed across vulnerable zones to ensure public safety.(DD)
