KISHTWAR: DD, A group of dreaded foreign terrorists has been engaged in an encounter by the security forces, especially Indian Army and J&K Police’s Special Operation Group in the mountains of District Kishtwar.
As per the credible inputs received by the security forces, the sources told Diplomat Digital that the Indian Army, paramilitary, and SOG teams jointly cordoned off the dense forests in one of the remotest areas of Chatroo in Kishtwar.
“A heavy fire was opened towards the security forces by the terrorists, triggering a gunfight in the forests,” the sources said.
Till the filling of this report, the firing between the security forces, and the terrorists continued.
It is to remind that the security agencies were already on high alert about the inputs of movement of the terrorist group, and accordingly, they were working on the leads.DD
