Jammu, TDD,The Annual Ex-Boys’ Meet of Sainik School Nagrota was celebrated with great fervour and camaraderie at the School Auditorium. A large number of alumni, accompanied by their families and children, returned to their alma mater to relive cherished memories of their formative years at the institution.
The event commenced with a warm welcome and an introductory address by Capt (IN) Shibu Devasia, the Principal. The gathering was captivated by an exhilarating cultural program presented by the cadets, featuring a fusion dance, a nukkad natak, a traditional Nepali dance, and a mesmerizing musical performance by the school’s renowned music troop, ‘The Decibel’.
One of the highlights of the event was the celebration of the Silver Jubilee of the 1992-99 batch, who took to the stage to express their heartfelt gratitude to the school for shaping their lives and presented mementoes as a token of appreciation.Brig Gurmeet Singh Shan, President of NEXAS, addressed the gathering with inspiring words and presented a token of appreciation to the outgoing Class XII cadets for their outstanding performance in the UPSC NDA Written Examination.
The School Band delivered a splendid performance at the Drill Square, evoking nostalgia among the alumni as they reminisced about their school days. The event also included a sumptuous lunch, followed by a guided tour of the hostels and playfields, providing the alumni and their families a chance to revisit and relive the unforgettable moments of their school journey.
The Ex-Boys’ Meet reaffirmed the enduring bond between the alumni and their alma mater, celebrating the legacy and values of Sainik School Nagrota.TDD
