Ex-Servicemen Rally in Kishtwar to Mark 10th Armed Forces Veterans Day

Kishtwar: 5 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of CIF(D) organised an Ex-Servicemen Rally at Kishtwar on the occasion of the 10th Armed Forces Veterans Day to honour the courage, service and supreme sacrifice of Indian Armed Forces veterans.
The rally witnessed the enthusiastic participation of Ex-servicemen and their families, reflecting the strong bond between the Armed Forces and the veteran community.
The event was conducted in a spirit of gratitude, respect and remembrance for those who have devoted their lives to the nation.


Brigadier Mahim Kumar, VSM, Commander, 5 Sector Assam Rifles felicitated Veer Naris, Veer Mata and Gallantry Awardees, acknowledging their unmatched courage, resilience and contribution to the nation. Their presence added deep emotional and inspirational value to the event.
To address the welfare needs of veterans and their families, a medical camp, grievance redressal cell and multiple facilitation counters were established during the rally.
These facilities provided medical assistance, resolved pension and documentation issues, and offered guidance on various welfare schemes, ensuring direct and meaningful support to the veteran community.

The rally was widely appreciated by all attendees for its efficient organisation, compassionate outreach and sincere efforts to recognise and support those who have served the nation with honour.

5 Sector Assam Rifles reaffirmed its continued commitment to the welfare and dignity of veterans and their families, reiterating that their sacrifices will always remain at the heart of the nation’s gratitude.DD
