Zanskar:DD, In a significant step towards promoting pilgrimage tourism, peace, compassion, and universal harmony, the Zanskar Development Authority (ZDA) has developed an Eco Park near the Gonpa Association Complex/Forest Bagh, Padum, featuring the installation of a Buddha statue.
The statue was inaugurated today by Executive Councillor for RDD/PRI and Zanskar Development Authority, LAHDC Kargil, Er. Punchok Tashi, in the presence and blessings of His Eminence Lochen Tulku Rinpochey.
The event was attended by the President and Executive Members of the Zanskar Gonpa Association, the Executive Engineer ZDA, and several other dignitaries. On the occasion, Er. Punchok Tashi appreciated the efforts of the executing agency and the contractor for maintaining high standards of workmanship and adhering to proper specifications during construction.
His Eminence Lochen Tulku Rinpochey blessed the site and offered prayers for peace and harmony, expressing hope that the statue will further strengthen universal brotherhood and boost pilgrimage tourism in the Zanskar Valley.DD
