Seven Houses Reportedly Gutted

Kishtwar: A major fire incident was reported late on the night of New Year’s Day in the Dachhan area of Marwah sub-division in Kishtwar district.
According to information, a sudden fire broke out in Thachna Dachhan village, which rapidly spread to nearby houses.
As per the latest reports, around 6 to 7 houses have already been engulfed by the flames, while there are apprehensions that the fire may spread to 7–8 houses in total.
Following the incident, panic gripped the village and local residents rushed to the spot to help douse the fire.
Considering the severity of the blaze, fire tenders along with personnel from the Fire and Emergency Services Department have been immediately dispatched from Kishtwar to the affected area. The relief and rescue operations are currently underway.DD
