Jammu :-TDD,Jammu police tightening noose against notorious criminals and drug peddlers, On 03/11/2024, a written complaint was lodged at Police Station Nowabad by Shaista Wife of Mohd. Khalil Resident of Gujjar Nagar Jammu to the extent that her son namely Imran Khalil Aged-25 years was fired upon by some unknown person/persons at Nikki Tawi area during the intervening night of 02/03-11-2024 with the intention to kill him. He has been seriously injured and presently admitted in GMC, Jammu.
Immediately, a Case FIR No.168/2024 Under Section 109(2)/3(5) BNS, 3/25 A/Act was registered at Police Station Nowabad and police swung into action.Different Police parties were constituted to solve the case which was totally blind in nature.
Human/Technical surveillance was started immediately and CCTV analysis of around 100 cameras was done. Moreover, all sources were activated.Around 20 suspects were rounded up for questioning. Human intelligence was generated and on 10/11/2024, a special naka was laid near T-chowk on 4th Tawi Bridge.
Black coloured Creta car bearing registration No. JK02BX-3022 coming from Nikki Tawi side was stopped for checking. Two persons were travelling in the car and during their personal search around 18 gms of Heroin like substance was recovered from their possession.
Later on, they disclosed their identities as Mohd. Hussain Khatana @ Raju Son of Haji Ghulam Mohd. Khatana resident of Kashwan, Kokernag Distt.Anantnag At Present Ragoora, Jammu and Mohd. Ramzan Son of Mohd. Din resident of Ragoora,Jammu.
In this regard, a separate case FIR No.174/2024 Under Section 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Nowabad and investigation has been initiated.
During sustained questioning, both of them admitted their guilt in the firing incident and on their disclosure Pistol alongwith 16 Live Cartridges has been recovered and car used in the crime has been seized.
It is pertinent to mention here that, some misunderstanding was going in between Mohd. Hussain Khatana @ Raju and 01 drug smuggler R/O Nikki Tawi regarding some payment issue. One day before the firing incident drug smuggler slapped Mohd. Hussain Khatana in Nikki Tawi area. Infuriated by the slapping incidence Mohd. Hussain Khatan @ Raju made up his mind to teach him a lesson and victim was hit as Mohd.Hussain @ Raju thought that victim was giving information regarding in movement to drug smuggler.
It is also apt to mention here that 09 Cases pertaining to Bovine smuggling, NDPS and attempt to murder have already been registered against Mohd. Ramzan S/O Mohd. Din R/O Ragoora, Jammu in different Police Stations of Jammu Province and he was evading his arrest in Attempt to murder case already registered at Police Station Bage-E-Bahu of district Jammu.
Police teams led by Station house Officer (SHO) Nowabad Insp. Deepak Pathania assisted by PSI Darshan Singh Incharge Police Post Canal Road and PSI Aziz Tariq made the arrests/recoveries under the supervision of Ashok Kumar DySP Hqrs. Jammu, Brijesh Sharma Incharge SP City North and Joginder Singh SSP Jammu.
People of the area have highly appreciated the action of Nowabad Police in solving total blind firing case and recovery of narcotics.Jammu Police is committed towards the safety and security of the general public.TDD
