UDHAMPUR,DD: An exchange of fire has been reported from the higher reaches of Basantgarh.
Sources in security agencies told Diplomat Digital that the firing has been reported in Seoj Dhar, Dudu area following a suspicious activity.
“A credible input was received by the security forces and they launched a massive search operation to track down the terrorists,” the sources said.
They said that the fire was reportedly opened on the search teams, and it triggered an exchange of fire.
Although the officials were tight lipped over the incident, the sources said that the additional forces have been rushed to the area. Further details are awaited.DD
