FIRST RAISING DAY CELEBRATION OF 6 J&K BATTALION NCC,UDHAMPUR

Udhampur: DD, The 6 Jammu and Kashmir Battalion NCC, Udhampur, proudly celebrated its First Raising Day, marking the successful culmination of its raising and its emergence as a fully functional and vibrant NCC unit.
The event stands as a testament to the dedication, discipline, and zeal of its cadets and staff who have worked tirelessly over the past year to bring the battalion to its current stature.

Since its inception, the battalion has achieved numerous milestones reflecting its commitment to excellence in training, community service, and youth development.


Among its landmark accomplishments is the establishment of the Zorawar NCC Training Academy, which has become a hub for grooming young cadets in leadership, physical fitness, and national service.

The cadets of 6 J&K Battalion have also exemplified the NCC spirit through their outstanding contribution to community service.
During Operation Sindoor and the recent flood relief operations, cadets actively participated in providing assistance to affected communities, displaying courage, compassion, and an unwavering sense of duty.

Demonstrating exceptional standards of training and discipline, the battalion recorded maximum participation in the Thal Sainik Camp and emerged as winners of the Inter-Battalion Drill Competition, earning accolades for their outstanding performance.

On this momentous occasion, the battalion was congratulated by Maj Gen Anupinder Bevli, VSM, Additional Director General, NCC Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh Directorate, who lauded the achievements of the unit and commended the cadets for their enthusiasm and commitment towards nation-building.
He encouraged them to continue setting high standards in all spheres of NCC activities.

Brig D.N. Pandey, Group Commander, NCC Group Headquarters Jammu, also conveyed his greetings and appreciation to the officers, staff, and cadets of the battalion.
He praised the unit’s rapid growth and the significant milestones achieved within a short span, emphasizing that 6 J&K Battalion NCC has emerged as a role model within the directorate.

Speaking on the occasion, the Commanding Officer of 6 J&K Battalion NCC highlighted the battalion’s journey and acknowledged the collective effort of cadets, Associate NCC Officers, and staff. “This Raising Day is dedicated to the unwavering zeal and determination of our cadets, who have turned challenges into opportunities and set new benchmarks for performance,” he remarked.

The celebration featured a ceremonial parade, cultural performances, and the felicitation of outstanding cadets who brought laurels to the battalion through their achievements in various NCC activities.

As the battalion moves forward, it continues to uphold the spirit of service, discipline, and leadership, inspiring the youth of Udhampur and the region to join the noble cause of nation-building through the National Cadet Corps.DD
