Five arrested for causing public disturbance in Srinagar

Srinagar,(DD): In a swift response to a public disturbance, police arrested five individuals involved in a fight at Kadi Kadal, Srinagar. The incident, which disrupted public order, led to the registration of an FIR at Police Station Nowhata under FIR No. 08/2025 and Section 194 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).

The arrested individuals have been identified as:

Moieed Baba, son of Shabir Ahmad Baba, resident of Firdous Colony, Eidgah

Farhan Shah, son of Shahnawaz Ahmad Shah, resident of Gojwara

Junaid Shahnawaz, son of Shahnawaz Ahmad, resident of Gojwara

Moien Manzoor Kak, son of Manzoor Ahmad Kak, resident of Kak Mohalla

Shahid Mukhtar, son of Mukhtar Ahmad Bhat, resident of Shampora

According to police sources, the fight caused significant public inconvenience, prompting authorities to intervene and take legal action.

Further investigation into the matter is underway, and police are trying to ascertain the cause of the altercation. More details are awaited.(DD)
