Jammu:TDD, In a relentless pursuit against drug peddlers, Jammu Police, under the operation Sanjeevani, made a significant breakthrough on 15-09-2024, Police party of PS Nagrota during Naka checking duty intercepted the vehicle Alto K10 bearing registration number JK06B/9811 at Naka Ban Toll Plaza during checking of vehicle approx 20/22 gram heroin like substance recovered and three persons arrested namely Sunny Kumar son of Chain Singh resident of Paryote Tehsil in Doda, Ashan Ali son of Ghulam Farooq resident of Paryote Doda, Aqib Farooq, son of Farooq Ahmed, resident if Khaleni in Doda district.
Meanwhile, in the second case one vehicle Maruti 800 bearing registration number JK04B/9507 intercepted at Naka Bamyal Morh jagti and during checking of vehicle approx 8/10 gram heroin like substance recovered. Accused arrested on the spot namely Arshad Ahmed, son of Khazer Mohd Shah and Bilal Ahmed, son of Ghulam Qadir both residents of Lasjan Tehsil, Pantha Chowk, Srinagar.
The diligent efforts of the police team of PS Nagrota led by SHO Nagrota culminated in the arrest of the accused in different places.
In this connection two FIRs,FIR No.248/2024 and 249/2024 U/S 8/21/22/29 of NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Nagrota, marking a decisive step towards curbing the drug trade in the area.
Jammu Police has urged all citizens to remain vigilant against the scourge of drugs and encourages them to report any suspicious activities promptly.TDD
