POONCH: DD, The rescue teams today recovered body of an eight-year old girl who was washed away in the flash flood from Bafliyaz area of Poonch District.
She has been identified as Asiya Kouser (8), daughter of Mushtaq Ahmed, resident of Bufliyaz.
As per the reports, the girl was staying with her family in a Dokh at Umraban in their native village, when she got trapped in a flash flood and the strong water current washed her away.
Immediately, a rescue team rushed to the spot, and they launched an operation to recover the girl.
Today, her body was retrieved from the water body several kms away from the place where she was washed away. The body was handed over to the family members.
Meanwhile, the authorities have appealed to the people to stay away from the water bodies.DD
