Srinagar, (DD)Flight operations at Srinagar International Airport resumed on Tuesday morning after a six-day suspension, with an Air India flight from Delhi being the first to land, officials said.
According to airport authorities, flight services were halted due to the prevailing security situation following India’s launch of Operation Sindoor — a retaliatory strike targeting terror infrastructure in Pakistan in response to the April 22 Pahalgam attack.
“An Air India flight from Delhi touched down this morning, officially restarting flight operations,” an official said.
With the reopening of the airport, commercial air traffic is expected to gradually normalize. Airlines have begun rescheduling flights, and passengers have been advised to stay in touch with carriers for real-time updates.
