Four Army Personnel Injured in Recent Gunfight with terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kishtwar

Kishtwar, TDD: A joint operation was launched by the Indian Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police in the Chatroo area of Kishtwar district here today based on intelligence inputs suggesting the presence of terrorists in the region.
The operation commenced at 1530 hrs and quickly escalated into a fierce encounter when security forces established contact with a group of terrorists. The initial exchange of fire was particularly intense, with the scout leading the patrol engaging in a heavy gun battle with the militants.
Unfortunately, four army personnel sustained injuries during the ongoing operation. Medical assistance has been provided to the injured soldiers, and they are currently receiving treatment at a nearby military hospital.
The operation remains in progress, and security forces are continuing to engage with the terrorists. Further details about the encounter, including the number of terrorists involved and any casualties on their side, are expected to be released in due course.
Defence Spokesperson confirmed the Encounter and said that Based on the intelligence inputs, a joint operation with J&K Police was launched in area Chatroo at Kishtwar area of Jammu and Kashmir . A contact was established and scout leading the patrol exchanged heavy volume of fire with the terrorists at 1530 hrs. In the ensuing firefight four army personnel have been injured.
