Free Medical Camp Organized by 187 Battalion in udhampur rural

Udhampur (TDD) : A free medical camp was organized by 187 Battalion at Punara village in Udhampur district, Jammu and Kashmir here today . The camp was inaugurated by Mohd Sajid, Commandant of 187 Battalion.
As part of this initiative by the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), free medical check-ups and medicines were provided to residents of remote villages, including men, women, and children. Approximately 250 villagers from Khned, Raichhak, Kadwa, Sang, Punara, and neighboring villages enthusiastically participated in the camp and appreciated the efforts.
The camp was conducted with the support of Dr. Manish Rundla, Medical Officer of 137 Battalion, Dr. Yasir Sheikh, Block Medical Officer of Basantgarh, and paramedical staff of 187 Battalion.

Ranjit Kumar Teliya, Company Commander, Satish Kumar, Assistant Commandant, Nitish N., Assistant Commandant, 187 Battalion CRPF, Shamshad Akhtar, Sarpanch of Khned, S. Purushottam, Panch of Punara, Devraj, Deputy Sarpanch of Lodra, and Mustaq Ali, Principal of Government Senior Secondary School Chunara were also present.

Addressing the villagers, Mohd Sajid, Commandant of 187 Battalion, encouraged them to take maximum advantage of the camp and urged them to become good citizens and contribute to the nation’s progress. He also informed them that the CRPF, in addition to its operational duties, also engages in social and humanitarian activities to help local people.
The villagers expressed their gratitude for the free medicines and medical advice. Similar medical camps will be organized in the future in the battalion’s deployment areas as per government directives.- (TDD)
