Fresh weather advisory asks people to stay alert for next 6 hours

Jammu: DD, Jammu Kashmir Disaster Management Authority (JKDMA) has issued a fresh weather advisory cautioning people about possibility of heavy rains and thunderstorms at many places across Jammu Division.
As per the message, “Possibility of heavy rain/thunder at many places in plains of Jammu, Pir-Panjal, Chenab Valley, Poonch, Rajouri, Jammu, Kathua, Reasi, Ramban, and Udhampur in next six hours.”


The people were cautioned about the possibility of cloudburst, flash floods, and landslides at few vulnerable places.
“Stay alert. Dial 112 for emergency,” the people were advised.
Pertinently, Jammu, and other areas witnessed heavy downpour since early morning and it has triggered flash flood in low lying areas within Jammu following which rain water gushed into the homes at several places.DD
