Gandhian Centre, University of Jammu, Marks Gandhi Jayanti through Community Outreach with SKUAST Morning Walkers

Jammu, DD,Under the patronage of Prof. Umesh Rai, Vice Chancellor, University of Jammu, the Gandhian Centre for Peace and Conflict Studies, University of Jammu, in collaboration with the SKUAST Jammu Morning Walkers Association, celebrated Mahatma Gandhi’s birthday (Gandhi Jayanti) with great enthusiasm and fervor. The program was attended by around 100 prominent members of Civil Society from R.S. Pura, who gathered to pay tribute to the Father of the Nation.

Raj Kumar Gupta, President of the SKUAST Jammu Morning Walkers Association, expressed his appreciation for the Gandhian Centre’s efforts in organizing the event, highlighting the importance of Gandhian values in contemporary society. Other notable attendees included Dr. Ankur Rastogi , Vikram Gupta, Vinod Aggarwal, Varun Sharma, Mohit Chowdhary, Rakesh Sharma, and Suneet Kumar.

The event provided a platform for participants to reflect on Mahatma Gandhi’s teachings and their relevance in today’s world. The program was well-coordinated by the staff of the Dhanvantri library and members of the Gandhian Committee for Peace and Conflict Studies, University of Jammu.
