‘Gangstar’ Royal Singh’s Associate Arrested by City Police

Was Wanted in More Than 10 Cases

Jammu: Police today claimed to have achieved a significant success with the arrest of a long-absconding and notorious accused wanted in a criminal case registered at Police Station City.

The arrested accused has been identified as Mohammed Ayaz alias Shantoo, son of Mohd Iqbal, Gujjar Nagar, Jammu.
He is a known associate of the Royal Singh Gang and was wanted in FIR No. 06 of 2025 under Sections 109 and 351(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, registered at Police Station City.
The accused had been evading arrest for the past about 11 months.

Acting on specific and credible inputs, a police team from Police Post Residency Road, led by SI Aaqib Lateef under the supervision of SHO Police Station City, Inspector Shakti Devi, conducted a swift operation and successfully apprehended the accused from Hotel City Light, Jewel area, Jammu.

The arrested person is a history-sheeter of Police Station Peermitha and a habitual offender involved in multiple serious criminal cases registered at different police stations of Jammu district, the details of which are as under different FIRs in more then 10 criminal cases.

After arrest, the accused was brought to police station City, where further investigation is underway and all legal formalities are being completed as per law.DD
