Kargil, May 01, 2025,DD: Government Degree College (GDC) Drass organized a Career-Cum-Counselling Interactive Session today, aimed at guiding and motivating the outgoing 6th-semester students in planning their future academic and career paths. The event was held under the supervision of the Principal, Dr. Amjad Ali Abassi, who also delivered an insightful address on the diverse career opportunities available to students after graduation.The interactive session witnessed the gracious presence of faculty members from the University of Ladakh (UOL) who engaged directly with the students. The distinguished guests included, Dr. Mohd Issa, Assistant Professor, Department of Environmental Science, Dr. Ajaz Ahmad Wani, Assistant Professor, Department of Political Science, and Dr. Bhavuddin, Faculty, Department of Arabic. Additionally, two student representatives from the Ladakh University Students Union, Kargil Campus, also interacted with the students, sharing their experiences and offering peer guidance.During the session, the UOL faculty provided comprehensive information about various Postgraduate (PG) courses offered at the university, including the recently introduced subjects at the Kargil campus. They also highlighted the facilities and support systems available to students at UOL, encouraging GDC Drass students to explore the opportunities provided by the university.The event was coordinated by Dr. Shoib Maqbool, Assistant Professor, Department of Geology, and Mr. Suhail Ahmad, Trainer from the Department of High Altitude Trekking Course. Principal Dr. Amjad Ali Abassi expressed heartfelt gratitude to the faculty members from the University of Ladakh for their valuable time and efforts in enlightening the students of GDC Drass. DD
