GDC Drass organizes online debate competition to commemorate 75 Years of India’s Constitution

Kargil,DD: Govt. Degree College (GDC) Drass today organized an online debate competition to mark the historic 75th anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution of India.

The event provided a platform for students to showcase their debating skills while reflecting on the profound significance of the Constitution.

At the outset, Principal GDC Drass shared his thoughts on this milestone, emphasizing the beauty of the Indian Constitution, a remarkable document that fosters unity in diversity, weaving together India’s rich cultural heritage and shared national identity. He encouraged students to participate in such events for their holistic growth actively.

Several students participated in the competition, demonstrating eloquence, analytical thinking, and confidence. Archo Fatima Nissa from the Department of English evaluated the speakers, offering insightful feedback on their speech delivery.

She later announced the results, with Mehjabeen Akhtar (6th Semester) securing 1st position, Shagufta Parveen (6th Semester) securing 2nd position, and Anayat Ali (6th Semester) securing 3rd position.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Rizwan Ali, Organizer and Co-Convener of the Cultural Committee, who thanked all participants and attendees for making the competition a resounding success.DD
