Jammu, DD, In a concerted effort to bolster disaster preparedness and emergency response mechanisms, a comprehensive mock drill was conducted today in Kishtwar under the aegis of Operation Shield. The exercise was organised in collaboration with the District Administration Kishtwar and witnessed enthusiastic participation from the National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit of Government Degree College (GDC) Kishtwar.

Serving as Civil Defence Volunteers, NSS students extended vital support at the District Hospital Kishtwar. Their proactive engagement played a pivotal role in the smooth and successful execution of the exercise.

The drill was meticulously coordinated by Prof. Esarul Ayub, NSS Programme Officer, who guided the volunteers and oversaw their deployment in various critical functions.

This initiative not only underscored the importance of community involvement in emergency preparedness but also offered valuable experiential learning for the volunteers, fostering a deeper sense of civic duty and resilience(DD)
