GMC Udhampur administration welcomes second batch of MBBS students

UDHAMPUR,TDD, Government Medical College (GMC) Udhampur welcomed its second batch of MBBS students with an induction ceremony.

The event was coordinated by Dr. Rakesh Sharma, MEU Coordinator, Professor & Head of the Department of ENT.

The ceremony commenced with the lighting of the traditional lamp and Saraswati Vandana, followed by a welcome address by the Principal, Dr. Mrityunjay.

In his address, he warmly greeted the students, appreciating their choice of this noble stream that will shape their future careers. He emphasized the importance of hard work, determination, and resilience in the medical profession. The students were also briefed on the institute’s motto, rules, and regulations.

This was followed by the Apron wearing and Stethoscope Adorning Ceremony. The students then took the “Charak Shapath,” administered by Dr. Nazuk Razdan, Assistant Professor, Department of Community Medicine.

The ceremony was attended by Dr. Vanita Gupta, Professor & Head, Department of Anatomy; Dr. Shalini Sobti, Professor & Head, Department of Community Medicine; Dr. Ajay Puri, Professor & Head, Department of Biochemistry; Dr. Jyoti Kohli, Professor & Head, Department of Microbiology; Dr. Rakesh Sadhu, Professor & Head, Department of Anesthesiology; Ankita Sharma, Deputy Director Planning, and other faculty members and demonstrators from various departments.TDD
