Sopore, (TDD):Just a day after five day long Assembly session concluded in Srinagar, the elected government touched bt he ground zero in a bud to fulfill its promises. They started from Sopore with a promise to remove all hurdles in way of Sopore’s fruit Mandi, the second largest in Asia.
Senior National Conference leader and deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary warned of a strict action against anyone obstructing the development of Sopore’s fruit mandi stating that all obstacles will be removed and Mandi will gain global attention.
Addressing public gathering during his visit to the Mandi, the Dy CM highlighted the government’s commitment regarding closing developmental gaps and supporting local agricultural businesses.
“This Mandi serves the entire valley, not just north Kashmir. Every individual involved in the fruit trade plays a vital role in Jammu and Kashmir’s economy,” he said.
He also mentioned that the government is compiling a list and no one, be that a government official or any other person creating hurdles in the Mandi’s development—will be spared. ” I promise strict action against those creating unnecessary hurdles in way of Sopore’s fruit Mandi, ” he said.
Speaking on the occasion, Agriculture Minister Javaid Dar said that government is committed to serve the people of Sopore and reciprocate the love they got during elections. “Things are not same today. We are a UT but willl be State again soon. Let us work together to remove obstacles in the way of Sopore’s development, ” he said. About incomplete bridges, Dar said that report will ge sent to the R&B department for completion of all bridges in Sopore and mecdamisation of roads will pick up from April onwards, ” he said–(TDD)
