Leh:TDD, The ALSWAJ Annual Sports Meet 2024-25 concluded on a high note with the thrilling finale of the cricket tournament held at the prestigious Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji Mini Stadium, Gole Gujral, Jammu.
The event witnessed an electrifying contest between the United Karchey and Sheena Warriors, with Sheena Warriors emerging victorious in a nail-biting match.
The occasion was graced by the esteemed presence of the MP Ladakh, Haji Haneefa Jan, who attended as the Chief Guest.
Sajjad Hussain Kargili, Political Incharge JUIAK, honored the event as the Guest of Honour, while Prithpal Singh was present as the Special Guest.
The Warden of Kargil Boys Hostel and Kargil Girls Hostel also attended as distinguished guests.
The tournament finale was a spectacle of skill, determination, and sportsmanship.
Sheena Warriors outperformed United Karchey to claim the coveted trophy. Zakir was declared the “Player of the Series” for his outstanding performance throughout the tournament.
The victorious Sheena Warriors lifted the trophy with pride, and both teams were awarded medals and cash prizes as a token of appreciation for their commendable performances.
Addressing the gathering, Chief Guest Haji Haneefa Jan praised ALSWAJ and participants for their dedication and highlighted the importance of sports in fostering unity and discipline among youth. Other dignitaries also lauded the efforts of ALSWAJ for promoting sportsmanship and camaraderie through this annual event.
