Grand finale of Premium Cricket League organised at Sarote village

Jammu: DD,The grand finale of the Sarote Premium Cricket League was held today in Sarote village, near the bank of the River Chenab, amidst great enthusiasm and sportsmanship.

The event saw participation from 10 teams, culminating in the final clash between Team Dhanu and Team Sarote.

SP Rural Jammu, Brijesh Sharma, JKPS attended the event as the Chief Guest, accompanied by SHO Gharota, Inspector Sandip Katoch and was warmly welcomed by the organizers and the local community.

The league has been a commendable initiative to engage youth in constructive and health-promoting activities.

While addressing the gathering, SP Rural Jammu appreciated the efforts of the organizers and emphasized the importance of sports in shaping a disciplined and healthy lifestyle.

He highlighted that in the current digital age, many young individuals are getting distracted by excessive phone usage and, unfortunately, some are falling prey to the menace of drug abuse.

He reaffirmed Jammu Police’s commitment to steering the youth towards a better path.

“There is no space for drugs in society, and the message from Jammu Police is loud and clear,” he stated.
He urged the youth to remain actively involved in sports and productive engagements.

The SP also hinted at future plans, stating that Jammu Police may organize local cricket tournaments under Civic Action Programmes to further promote youth participation and community engagement.

The final match was not just a display of cricketing talent but also a celebration of community spirit and positive youth engagement.DD
