Padar, Kishtwar: Bupinder Ji, Mohinder Ji, and Rajat Ji, I conducted a ground visit to Machail Mata Chashoti to assess the situation following the recent disaster. The visit aimed to review on-site conditions, understand the impact on pilgrims and locals, and analyze administrative and relief measures.
During the tour, I observed a deep sense of peace and spiritual energy, feeling the divine presence of Maa Jadamba in full Rudra Avtar. However, the Langer Seva Dals had been withdrawn from the base camp and adjoining areas, and the Yatra remains suspended until further notice.
Key Observations:
Devotees across the region recalled the dedication of Thakur Kulbir Singh Ji towards Maa Jagdamba, Maa Adi Shakti, and Maa Chandi Roopa.
Certain political and administrative lapses were evident, which must be addressed to avoid future tragedies.
By Maa Chandi’s grace, the nearby village was partially protected from complete devastation.
Pilgrims maintained discipline and unity, setting an example for preventing future crises.
Message to the Community:
This incident serves as a powerful reminder that humanity rises above all divisions—caste, religion, and colour. The Supreme Power is one, and our collective duty is to unite and work for humanity’s welfare. Whether at Machail Bhawan or any religious site, development and service must be guided by compassion and inclusivity.
“This is a real example of society coming together in the face of adversity, and a call for building a future where humanity is our greatest strength,” Er. Anil Kumar Shan.DD
