Srinagar, (DD) Gulmarg is all set to host the second leg of the 5th Khelo India Winter Games from March 9 to 12, after the event was postponed earlier due to inadequate snowfall, officials confirmed today.
The prestigious national-level winter sports competition will witness the participation of over 300 athletes from across the country, competing in a range of winter sports, including alpine skiing, Nordic skiing, ski mountaineering, and snowboarding. The event aims to provide a platform for emerging winter sports talent while boosting Gulmarg’s reputation as India’s premier winter sports destination.
Preparations in Full Swing
Authorities have finalized all necessary arrangements to ensure a seamless and successful event. Officials said that infrastructure, logistics, and safety measures have been meticulously planned to accommodate athletes, coaches, and visitors.
