Srinagar, (DD) The Haj Committee of India (HCoI) has announced that all Haj flights from the Srinagar Embarkation Point are suspended until May 9, 2025, due to the temporary closure of Srinagar Airport.
A circular issued by the HCoI states: “In view of NOTAM A0976/25 concerning the temporary closure of Srinagar Airport, Haj flights from the Srinagar Embarkation Point have been cancelled until 9th May 2025. The situation is currently being reviewed, and alternate arrangements for the air travel of the concerned pilgrims are under active consideration in close coordination with various stakeholders.”
The HCoI assured that it remains fully committed to ensuring a successful pilgrimage for all Haj pilgrims and advised them to stay in touch with the Jammu & Kashmir State Haj Committee for updates on revised travel plans.
The J&K State Haj Committee has been urged to disseminate this information promptly among affected pilgrims and keep them informed of further developments(DD)
