Handwara,(DD): In a decisive action against terror networks, Handwara Police on Sunday attached properties worth several lakhs belonging to two Pakistan-based terror handlers. The operation was carried out after obtaining an attachment order from the Hon’ble Additional Sessions Court Handwara.

The attached land, measuring 3 Kanals and 12 Marlas, belonged to:

Tahir Ahmad Peer, son of Shamus-ud-din Peer, resident of Badrah Bala, Qaziabad

Mohd Ramzan Ganie, son of Mohd Abdullah Ganie, resident of Ganapora, Qaziabad

According to police officials, the action was taken under Section 88 CrPC (83 Central) in connection with FIR No. 73/2011, registered under Sections 2/3 of the EIMCO Act and Section 121A RPC at Police Station Kralgund.

The properties were identified as belonging to absconders during an investigation and inquiry conducted by the police. Officials stated that the move reaffirms their commitment to combating terrorism and dismantling its financial and logistical support structures.

This development comes as security forces continue their crackdown on individuals and entities involved in supporting terror activities in the region.(DD)
