Handwara Police Organises Cyber Crime Awareness Programme at Govt. Boys High School Shartgund Bala

Handwara, DD, Continuing its efforts to spread awareness about cyber safety and online fraud, Handwara Police today organised an awareness programme on Cyber Crime, Cyber Safety, and Online Fraud at Government Boys High School, Shartgund Bala.

The programme was chaired by SHO PS Qalamabad, who sensitised the participants about the growing threats of cybercrime, including online scams, identity theft, and fraudulent activities. He highlighted the importance of safe internet practices and shared valuable tips on protecting personal information while using social media and digital platforms.

Teachers and students of the school actively participated in the event and interacted with the resource persons, seeking guidance on preventive measures against cyber-related crimes.

Handwara Police reiterated its commitment to safeguarding the community, especially students, from the risks of the digital world and urged the public to immediately report any suspicious online activity to the nearest police station or through cyber helpline numbers.DD
