Hardcore Criminal Injured In Rival’s Attack At Miran Sahib, Hospitalized

He himself was evading arrest, Police launches hunt against attackers of revival gang

JAMMU, DD: An absconding criminal was assaulted by the rivals in which he has sustained critical injuries under the jurisdiction of police station Miran Sahib.
Police have identified him as Kulbir Bhagat alias Rinku (27), son of Bushan Lal, resident of Longatian, Miran Sahib
Although the injured has been shifted to the GMC Jammu for specialized treatment, his situation is stated to be stable.
The police have initiated an investigation during which they came to know that the injured was himself a hardcore criminal who was booked and jailed under Public Safety Act (PSA).
As per the police investigation, during the intervening night of November 10/11, 2025, an information was received at Police Station Miran Sahib that a person was attacked in village Longotian by some rivals in which he got injured and immediately he was shifted to SDH R.S. Pura.
On this information, the police party reached SDH R.S. Pura. During enquiry, the injured had sustained some grievous injuries, with one hand severed.
Later, he was referred to GMC Jammu for further treatment.
Accordingly, a case under FIR 147 of 2025 under section 109, 111 BNS, 4/25 Arms Act stands registered at Police Station Miran Sahib and investigation taken up.


According to police, the injured (victim), Kulbir Bhagat alias Rinku Bhagat in this case is also a hardcore criminal, who was detained by Jammu Police under PSA in 2024 for his involvement in repeated criminal activities. He was released from jail some months ago.
He is also wanted as one of the main accused in a few recent assault cases in the Jurisdiction of Police Station Arnia and Police Station R S Pura under arms act and other criminal acts. He was evading arrest in these cases.
Meanwhile, the FSL team reached the spot of occurrence to collect scientific evidence. The preliminary investigation points towards assault by the rival group of the victim in the current case.
The investigating police team is working on the case to identify and arrest all the accused involved in the case.DD
