Health Department and Jal Shakti Department Conduct Comprehensive Health Checkup at JNV School, Shalimar Kishtwar

Kishtwar,DD, A collaborative team from the Health Department, Kishtwar, led by Dr. Nazir Hussain, Medical Officer, and accompanied by Mr. Kranti Kumar, Basic Health Worker (BHW), along with officials from the Jal Shakti Department Hydraulic Division Kishtwar, conducted a comprehensive health checkup at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV) School, Shalimar Kishtwar. The initiative was designed to assess and promote the well-being of the students studying at the school.

The health team carried out thorough medical examinations, focusing on the general health and hygiene of the students. The checkup aimed to ensure that students are in optimal health to support their academic and personal growth. In addition to the medical assessments, the team emphasized the importance of maintaining proper health and hygiene practices among the student community.

In a joint effort with the Jal Shakti Department Hydraulic Division Kishtwar, the initiative also included an awareness session on water sanitation. Officials provided valuable insights into the significance of clean water for maintaining good health and preventing waterborne diseases. As part of the program, the health team distributed chlorine tablets to the school management to ensure safe drinking water. Representatives from the Jal Shakti Department further educated the school staff and students on the correct usage and dosage of chlorine for water purification.

The event was successfully conducted, with the team offering practical health advice to both students and school staff. The collaborative effort underscored the commitment of the Health Department and Jal Shakti Department to safeguarding the health and welfare of students in Kishtwar.
