Heavy Exchange of Fire Continues in Dool Encounter

DIG Refutes False Claims of One Terrorist Neutralised; says ‘No Body Recovered’

KISHTWAR: DD, Deputy Inspector General (DIG), Doda-Kishtwar-Ramban Range, Shridhar Patil has said that no terrorist has been neutralised so far although the encounter continues in Dool area in Kishtwar.
The encounter broke out between the security forces, and the terrorists in Dool – 12 kms away from Kishtwar District – when the holdup terrorists opened fire on the search parties of the joint security teams.
The heavy exchange of fire continued between both sides. However, there was no report of any neutralisation of the terrorists who had been trapped in Dool since early morning.
“The encounter in the Dool area of Kishtwar is still underway,” the DIG Patil said.
The DIG clarified that nobody has been recovered from the encounter site so far, and the official confirmation of any casualty has not been made.DD
