Kishtwar:DD, Incessant rains have disrupted the natural lives in the hilly district for the last 24 hours with the snapping of the electricity, drinking water supply, and road blockage due to landslides in parts of Kishtwar District.
The situation is also not good in Doda and the authorities have cautioned the commuters to avoid road journeys in the wake of constant rains that has triggered landslides in Kishtwar as well as Doda.
As per the reports, the Padder-Kishtwar road, Sinthan, Kishtwar-Doda, and remote areas are worst hit with inclement weather conditions, leading to the disruption of the road connectivity, snapping of the electricity, and water supply system.

The locals have also demanded that the administration should ensure the supply of adequate LPG cylinders in Kishtwar.
Meanwhile, the transport department has issued advisory in view of continuous rainfall and inclement weather conditions as road blockages have been reported at Balli Nalla/Tharad Udhampur and at a few other locations on NH-44.
Accordingly, no vehicular movement from Shalimar Nakka/Thathri Nakka towards Jammu is allowed until the road is cleared for traffic and the weather improves.
All transporters, drivers, and the general public of District Kishtwar are advised to avoid travelling on this route and refrain from any unnecessary movement in the larger interest of public safety.DD
