“Sham Lal Sharma paid Tributes on Veer Bal Diwas at Singh Sabha Gurudwara”

Jammu : TDD,On the occasion of Veer Bal Diwas, a solemn event was organized at Singh Sabha Gurudwara, Ghari, Poonchi Mohalla, to honor the supreme sacrifices of Baba Zorawar Singh Ji and Baba Fateh Singh Ji, the youngest sons of Guru Gobind Singh Ji. The Chote Sahibzade’s unwavering courage and devotion to their faith remain an eternal inspiration for generations.
The event saw a large gathering of devotees, community leaders, and prominent personalities. Sham Lal Sharma, MLA Jammu North and former Minister, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Addressing the Sangat, he emphasized the importance of remembering the unparalleled sacrifices of the Sahibzade, who displayed extraordinary valor in the face of adversity, standing firm for justice, righteousness, and faith at a tender age.
Sharma began his visit by taking blessings in the holy Gurudwara and joining the Sangat in prayer. He expressed his reverence for the spiritual ambiance of the Gurudwara and the teachings of Guru Gobind Singh Ji, which continue to guide humanity toward righteousness and unity.
In his address, Sharma urged the younger generation to draw inspiration from the teachings of the Sahibzade and look up to them as role models. He highlighted that their lives are a testament to bravery, moral strength, and unflinching dedication to righteousness. He also emphasized that those who selflessly serve their community and religion are, in turn, serving their country, and this principle should be deeply instilled in today’s youth.
Sharma also stressed the importance of imbibing the teachings of Sikhism in day-to-day life to guide the new generation toward spirituality and humanity. He called for youth to actively engage in community services and contribute to building a harmonious and progressive society. Highlighting the growing menace of drug abuse, he urged parents and educators to make the younger generation aware of the harmful effects of drugs and work collectively to check this social evil. “We must create a healthier environment by educating our children about the dangers of addiction and instilling in them a sense of responsibility toward their community and country,” he said.
He further called on parents to instill strong moral values, ethical behavior, and a sense of compassion in their children. “The foundations of a strong and harmonious society are built on the values of respect, empathy, and integrity. It is our duty to guide the younger generation to become not just successful individuals but also good human beings,” he added.
The event included spiritual hymns, discourses, and a heartfelt tribute to the Sahibzade, invoking a deep sense of reverence and reflection among attendees. Among those present were Sr. Harnam Singh Ji, Sr. Tarlochan Singh Ji, All the Mandal presidents of Jammu North Constituency , along with Ex-Councillors, Ex-Sarpanchs, and other prominent personalities, who joined in paying homage and supporting the message of unity, spirituality, and community service.
