Kishtwar:DD, As the security forces continue their anti-terror operation in the dense mountains of Chatroo, the Inspector General of Police, Jammu Zone, Bhim Sen Tuti accompanied by top ranking Army officers today visited the encounter site in Kishtwar district to review the situation.
The anti-terror operation has continued for the last four days against the terrorists, and the security agencies have tightened their grid all along the targeted area.
Accordingly, the IG Jammu and the top ranking army officers reviewed the ongoing operation on the ground with the troops, as per the reports.
It is believed that the security forces, Indian Army, Special Operation Group (SOG), and other paramilitary personnel have surrounded a group of terrorists, including a terror commander.
“They have been trapped in the mountains, and intermittent gunfight continued,” the report added.
Pertinently, an Indian Army soldier martyred in the ongoing operation.
Recently, the operation was personally monitored by the DGP J&K Police, Nalin Prabhat soon after the encounter broke out between the security forces, and the hiding terrorist groups.DD
