Srinagar, (DD)Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kashmir Zone, V.K. Birdi chaired a high-level joint security review meeting on Sunday at the Police Control Room (PCR) Srinagar. The session brought together senior officials from the Police, Army, Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), and intelligence agencies to evaluate the current security landscape and boost coordination across the Kashmir Valley.
During the meeting, top officers provided comprehensive briefings on the prevailing security scenario and discussed emerging threats. The discussions focused on intelligence sharing, threat assessments, coordinated emergency response strategies, and strengthening inter-agency collaboration.
IGP Birdi underlined the critical need for enhanced synergy among all security and intelligence units to ensure timely information exchange and unified operational readiness.
The meeting reaffirmed the collective commitment of all participating forces to maintain peace and stability in the Valley through proactive planning and joint preparedness.
Attendees included senior officials from the BSF, CRPF, SSB, ITBP, RPF, CID, SDRF, Army’s 15 Corps, Traffic Police, Railway Police, and other key departments. Several officers from the Kashmir Zone also joined the meeting virtually (DD)
