Jammu: The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Jammu organized the valedictory ceremony of the Immersion Programme for students of the National Institute of Food Technology Entrepreneurship and Management (NIFTEM) at the Vedanta MDP Centre, IIM Jammu campus.
The programme was designed to provide industry-oriented managerial exposure and practical insights into business and leadership practices for NIFTEM students through structured academic sessions and institutional engagement at IIM Jammu.
The valedictory ceremony was presided over by Prof. Sanjeev Pathak, Chairperson, Executive Education and Consultancy, IIM Jammu, and Dr. Vikas Saxena, Professor of Statistics and Operations Research, NIFTEM, Sonipat, Haryana. The event was also graced by Dr. Jaikamal, Program Director, IIM Jammu.
Dr. Vikas Saxena commended the programme design, overall coordination, and hospitality, expressing complete satisfaction with all aspects of the immersion programme. He also appreciated the quality of food arrangements and overall management, and conveyed his desire to visit the Institute again whenever given an opportunity.
Addressing the students, Prof. Sanjeev Pathak emphasized the importance of managerial thinking, adaptability, and continuous learning in today’s dynamic professional environment. He encouraged students to remain connected with the Institute by following IIM Jammu’s official social media handles and regularly sharing their success stories to strengthen engagement.
Appreciating the participants, he remarked that IIM Jammu closely observes the growth and achievements of its learners and encouraged them to keep sharing their feedback, success stories, and inputs, as these help the Institute further strengthen and improve its training programmes. He further assured the students that IIM Jammu and its faculty members are always available to support them and urged them to reach out whenever they require academic or professional assistance.
The valedictory session began with a welcome address, followed by a programme report presented by Dr. Jaikamal, who highlighted the objectives, learning outcomes, and active participation of students during the immersion programme. Participants also shared their reflections, expressing appreciation for the academic rigour, campus experience, and interactive learning environment at IIM Jammu.
Pardeep Saini, Programme Officer, Business Development, Executive Education and Consultancy, IIM Jammu, wished the students success in their future endeavours and remarked that they were a highly motivated, interactive group keen to learn throughout the programme.
The ceremony witnessed the presence of Rupali Jamwal and Anil Singh from Executive Education and Consultancy, IIM Jammu. Certificates were also distributed to the participants, recognizing their successful completion of the immersion programme.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Jaikamal, Program Director, followed by the National Anthem. The training programme was coordinated by the Executive Education and Consultancy (EE&C), IIM Jammu.
The programme stands as another step in IIM Jammu’s continuous efforts to strengthen academic collaborations and contribute to capacity building among students of premier institutions across the country.DD
