ARTO Kishtwar Tasleem Wani advises to avoid unnecessary travel in snow-bound / high-altitude areas

KISHTWAR:DD, Keeping in view the inclement weather conditions, the authorities have established a control room to assist general masses in Kishtwar, advising them to avoid unnecessary travel in snow-bound and high-altitude areas, following snowfall and slippery roads across the hilly district.
“A bad weather alert has been issued for District Kishtwar, advising residents and travellers to avoid unnecessary travel in snow-covered and high-altitude areas due to ongoing heavy snowfall, slippery roads, and rainfall,” ARTO Kishtwar, Tasleem Wani said.
Wani said that: “It’s essential to stay informed about the weather conditions and follow the weather advisory of local authorities to ensure your safety.”
He said that “Two wheelers and three wheelers are strictly advised to avoid venturing on roads and ensure safety of themselves viz a viz of commuters/passengers.”
Meanwhile, the District Administration Kishtwar, on the directions of DC Kishtwar, Rajesh Kumar Shavan, through different departments/agencies, are on job to ensure hassle free essential services as well as safety of public.
Kishtwar – Chatroo Highway has been closed near Mughal Maidan due to shooting stones, triggered following heavy rains. More details will be added after speaking to officials.DD
