Nubra: DD, The 79th Independence Day was celebrated with great zeal and patriotic fervour at Tehsil Sumoor at Nubra. Tehsildar Sumoor Tashi Chhostak hoisted the National Flag and followed by march past.
In his address Tehsildar Sumoor highlighted the significance of the day and shared the notable achievements of the Tehsil during the past year.
The Ladakh Police, along with students from various schools, participated in the march past. The celebrations were further enriched by vibrant cultural performances presented by the Ama Tsogspa and school students.
Similarly celebrations were held across all Naibats of Nubra Sub-division. At Naibat Turtuk, Naib Tehsildar Abdul Rehman hoisted the National Flag; at Naibat Khalsar, Naib Tehsildar Habibullah performed the flag hoisting; at Naibat Panamik, Naib Tehsildar Shri Mohd Hassanain hoisted the National Flag; and at Naibat Charasa, Naib Tehsildar Zakir Hussain hoisted the Tricolour.DD
