Indian Army and J&K Police Organises Road Safety Awareness in Assar, Doda

Doda: In an effort to enhance road safety awareness, the Indian Army, in collaboration with Jammu and Kashmir Police (JKP), organized a Joint Road Safety Awareness Programme at Kandheri Market, Assar in the Doda district.
This initiative is part of the Indian Army’s ongoing efforts to manage public perceptions and promote community welfare. The event was aimed at educating the youth and drivers about the critical importance of road safety.
Attendees were urged to strictly adhere to traffic rules, avoid drinking and driving and refrain from using mobile phones while operating a vehicle.
Additionally, the programme highlighted the significance of wearing helmets and seat belts to minimize the risk of accidents.
Pamphlets outlining road safety tips and guidelines were distributed among the attendees, providing them with useful information to make roads safer for everyone. The event was well-received by the local community, with civilians expressing their appreciation for the Indian Army’s proactive approach to raising awareness about road safety.
A total of 75 local residents and 9 representatives from Jammu and Kashmir Police (JKP) participated in the programme.
The collaboration between the Indian Army and JKP was lauded as an effective measure to enhance public awareness and promote road safety in the region.
