Rajouri: The Indian Army successfully concluded the Beautician Training Course for young women in Darhal, conducted under Operation Sadbhavana.
The course was designed to empower local women by providing them with valuable skills for self-employment and economic independence. The opening ceremony, held earlier in Darhal, was attended by Army officials, the Sarpanch, Ex-Servicemen (ESM) leaders, village elders, and 25 enthusiastic young women.
During the event, Army officials highlighted that the initiative was part of a larger outreach program aimed at fostering goodwill, improving livelihood opportunities and promoting women’s economic empowerment.
Throughout the course, participants received structured, hands-on training in modern beauty and grooming techniques, along with basic entrepreneurship skills. Upon successful completion of the program, participants were awarded certification, which will enable them to start their own beauty services or pursue employment within the beauty and wellness industry.
This initiative marked another successful step in the Indian Army’s ongoing commitment to skill development and community empowerment in the region.DD
