Jammu: DD, Indian Army has launched one of major anti-terror operations in Jammu region to neutralise the terrorists in the hilly areas across Chenab Region, Udhampur upper reaches, and Poonch-Rajouri.
“Reportedly, the Army has launched multiple anti-terror operations in Doda District’s Gandoh, and Chatroo area of Kishtwar district,” the sources said.
They said that the operation was also launched in Udhampur’s remotest areas in Basantgarh to track down the terrorist group.
“This group of terrorists is believed to be foreigners, and one of them was neutralised by the elite unit of special para commandos of the Indian Army recently in the Basantgarh encounter,” they said.
At the same time, the Army has launched another operation in Dera Ki Gali in Poonch District in various places.
The Army has received overwhelming response from the local population in these operations from every section of society foiling attempts of anti-national elements.DD
