Indian Army Organises Medical and Veterinary Camp for tribals in Doda

Doda: DD, Reaffirming its commitment to community welfare and humanitarian assistance, the Indian Army organised a Medical and Veterinary Camp at Thanalla on 25 October 2025 under Project Sadbhavana.
The initiative aimed to provide free medical consultations, distribution of medicines and veterinary support to the flood and landslide-affected population, with a special focus on the Gujjar and Bakkarwal communities and their livestock.
The camp was inaugurated by an officer of the Indian Army, who assured the locals of the Indian Army’s continued support and commitment to their well-being.


The camp witnessed overwhelming participation, benefiting 228 individuals including 135 men, 70 women and 23 children.
Additionally, 110 livestock were examined and treated by the veterinary team. Comprehensive arrangements were made for examination facilities, medicine distribution and awareness sessions on nutrition, hygiene and child care.
The initiative brought much-needed relief to the affected families, addressing both human and animal healthcare requirements. It also reinforced the bond of trust, compassion and goodwill between the Indian Army and the local populace, showcasing the Indian Army’s unwavering dedication to the holistic development and well-being of border communities.DD
