Akhnoor: DD, The Indian Army, continuing its unwavering commitment to the health and well-being of citizens, organized a special health service campaign titled “Arogya Sparsh – Healing with Compassion” in the village of Plathan.
Inspired by the eternal message of “Sarve Bhavantu Sukhinah, Sarve Santu Niraamayah” May all be happy, may all be free from illness this initiative saw the Indian Army’s medical team going door-to-door in the village, providing free health check-ups, essential medicines and medical consultations.
The objective of this community service program was to provide health facilities at the doorstep of the villagers, raise health awareness and ensure timely treatment. This not only met the immediate health needs of the people but also strengthened their understanding and trust in healthcare.
Through this initiative, the Indian Army once again demonstrated that its role extends beyond securing the borders, as it is also dedicated to the health, safety and well-being of every citizen of the nation. Arogya Sparsh is a significant step towards strengthening the bond of trust, compassion and service between the Indian Army and the citizens.DD
