Rajouri:DD, To honour the supreme sacrifice of Late Sep Antar Singh, Sena Medal, the Indian Army organised a solemn Wreath Laying Ceremony at his native village, Mehera, on the occasion of his 25th death anniversary.
The ceremony, conducted with full military honours, was attended by Officers, Junior Commissioned Officers and Other Ranks of the Indian Army, along with members of the local populace.
AShok Guard presented a ceremonial salute, symbolising the battalion’s deep respect and remembrance for its valiant soldier who laid down his life in the line of duty.
The Veer Nari of Late Sep Antar Singh, SM, graced the occasion and the entire village gathered to pay heartfelt homage a true reflection of the enduring bond between the Indian Army and the local community.
The event served as a poignant reminder of the courage, dedication and selfless devotion displayed by the fallen hero.
Following the ceremony, tea and refreshments were served to all attendees, fostering camaraderie and strengthening civil–military relations.
The commemoration reaffirmed the ethos of “Veer Bhumi – Veer Sapoot”, reflecting the Indian Army’s unwavering commitment to honouring its bravehearts and extending continued support to their families.
