Indian Army Successfully Concluded Mendhar Fest 2025 with Grand Finale

Mendhar : DD, The Indian Army’s Mendhar Fest 2025, organized by the Bhimber Gali Brigade under the aegis of the Ace of Spades Division, concluded with resounding success and enthusiasm. The 18-day festival, held in Mendhar, brought together thousands of youths and residents, transforming the region into a vibrant hub of sports, culture and community pride.
The festival featured a wide array of sports competitions, including Volleyball, Kho-Kho, Kabaddi, Athletics and Cricket. Over 50 teams participated, showcasing remarkable talent and sportsmanship. The festival’s success was further highlighted by the first-ever Mendhar Marathon on 9 December 2025, which saw over 600 participants. The marathon was flagged off by the Commander of the Bhimber Gali Brigade and concluded with medals and certificates for the top performers.
The Grand Finale of the festival featured cultural displays, an Army Dog Show and a felicitation ceremony for the winners. Government and non-government organizations set up stalls offering career guidance and empowerment initiatives for youth. An Ex-Servicemen Meet was also organized, underscoring the Indian Army’s commitment to veteran welfare and community engagement.
The Chief Guest for the finale, GOC Ace of Spades Division, along with various dignitaries, felicitated the young achievers and encouraged them to pursue excellence. Mendhar Fest 2025 successfully fostered unity, youth empowerment and community engagement, leaving a lasting impact on the local population.DD
